Obituary for James B. "Brad" Chambers

James Bradford Chambers, age 63, passed away November 27, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska.

“Brad” was born in a U.S. Army Hospital in Ft. Belvoir, Fairfax County, Virginia on October 7, 1956 to James Earl Chambers and the late Mary Louise (Bayless) Chambers. He lived in Alexandria, Virginia for 1 ½ years; Neola, Iowa for 2 years; Redfield, Iowa for 6 years; and Council Bluffs, Iowa for 9 years. He graduated from Lewis Central High School with the class of 1975. After graduation he attended Iowa State University. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country from 1977-1981. After an honorable discharge from the military, he worked at Cervs Golf Range and Club 89 while completing his college education at UNO-Omaha with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. His working career consisted of being employed by MAPA, Alfred Benesh and finally for Olsson & Associates until he was forced to retire because of ill health in 2017.

Brad liked watching football games with his friends and playing golf.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise; grandparents; aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his father, James E. Chambers (Mary); sister, Karen Cobb (Lee), of Manassas, Virginia; niece, Kristin Suhi (Ryan); nephew, Michael Cobb; great-niece, Sophie and great-nephew, Asher; other relatives and friends.
