She was born in Omaha, Neb., on May 30, 1934, to the late Charles and Effie (Wilson) DeFord. She was a member of Lutheran Womens Missionary League.

Charlene was preceded in death by her son, William Roger Sullivan, Jr.

<description><![CDATA[<img src="http://cutleroneill.com/components/comObituaries/obituarythumbnails/134_115545.jpg" alt="Francis V. Guinan" />Francis V. Guinan, age 96, of Council Bluffs, passed away February 19, 2012 at Regency Rehabilitation Center. 

Francis was born January 4, 1916 in Walthill, Nebraska to the late Frank T. and Blanche B. (Coughlin) Guinan. He graduated from Walthill High School in 1933 and attended University of Nebraska College of Agriculture at Lincoln, Nebraska. Francis married Mary A. Forristal on May 7, 1946. They were blessed with five children. Francis worked at the terminal grain elevator at 3215 Second Ave.-Council Bluffs for over 50 years as superintendent and grain merchandiser for Loveland Elevator Co., Vanice Grain, Inc., Lauhoff Milling and Bunge Grain Corp., the last 12 years as coordinator and merchandiser for Bunge Grain Corp. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for 66 years; Grain Elevator and Processing Society for over 50 years; served on the St. Albert School Board and Credit Union Board. 

In addition to his parents, Francis was preceded in death by 6 brothers and a sister. Francis is survived by  his wife of 65 years, Mary A. Guinan of Council Bluffs; daughter, Jean M. (John) Wendl of Omaha; sons, John F. (Rose) Guinan of Carroll, Iowa, William J. (Evelin) Guinan of Alexandria, Virginia, Francis V. (Kathryn) Guinan, Jr. of Elmhurst, Illinois, James L. She was born June 18, 1932, in rural Glenwood, Iowa, to Joseph E. and Gladys L. (Vanderpool) May. Lulu worked for Campbell Soup for over 23 years and was united in marriage to Joseph B. Sollazzo in 1952.

Lulu was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph in 1999; son, Michael Sollazzo; sister, Pearl McCart; brothers, Edward, Joseph, and John May.

Survivors include daughters, Carol Embrey and husband, Anthony, of Holts Summit, Mo., Debra Ossman and husband, Wendell, of Henderson, Iowa; son, Timothy Sollazzo, of Fort Collins, Colo.; 2 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Ross, of Council Bluffs, Wilma Jacobsen and husband, James, of Fort Myers, Fla.; brothers, Jack May, of Council Bluffs, Fred May and wife, Pat, of Moore Haven, Fla.; nieces and nephews.

Joe was born October 29, 1924 in Council Bluffs to the late John W. and Jessie (Philbrick) Carter. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1942 and served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the China Burma India Theatre. Joe married Betty Harrings on April 6, 1947 in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with five children. Joe worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a chief clerk for the District Engineer, retiring in 1983 after a 40 year career. He was a member of Fifth Ave. Methodist Church; American Legion Post #2; Bluff City Masonic Lodge #71, where he was past master twice, 33rd Degree Mason; Tangier Shrine and Roadrunners; Scottish Rite of Omaha, where he was past-worshipful master, and Scottish Society of Nebraska. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Carrie Ann Carter and Janna Fienhold; 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Marjorie was born January 26, 1923 in Omaha to the late Earl and Alice (Kelsey) Smith. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1941. Marjorie married Calvin P. “Kelly” Bolton on November 24, 1956. They were blessed with twin daughters, Barbara and Janice. Marjorie was a homemaker and did bookkeeping for various accounting firms including the Girl Scout Council of Southwest Iowa. She was a member of Underwood Lutheran Church; Bethany Lutheran Home Auxiliary and was a volunteer at Underwood Elementary School. 

In addition to her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Calvin P. “Kelly” Bolton in 1998; son-in-law, Dr. Don Stroy; sisters, Virginia Bengston and Eleanor Zimmerman; brother, Robert L. Smith.

Hopper, age 87, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on February 17, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

Evelyn was born July 18, 1924, in Council Bluffs to the late Edgar and Vera (McLaughlin) Durick. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1942 and earned a degree in Education from Dana College in 1974.

Evelyn married Willard C. Hopper on August 21, 1944, in Council Bluffs. They were blessed with 5 children. Evelyn was an elementary school teacher in the Council Bluffs Community School System from 1964-1989, teaching fourth grade at Harrison and Lewis &amp; Clark Elementary Schools.

She was a member of First Baptist Church; Stephen Ministries; Sunday School Teacher; active in the Wings Program at her church and a Loess Hills Committee member. Evelyn was a very compassionate woman, who spent many hours tutoring and mentoring children.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. Hopper, in 1997; granddaughter, Rebecca Anne Cole, in 1983; sister, Virginia Petersen and brother, Jim Durick.

Wayne was born July 4, 1921 on the family farm in Minden, Iowa to the late Calvin E. and Mabel (Pflug) Leaders. He married Wanda Volkers on February 19, 1946 in Bloomfield, Nebraska. They were blessed with five children. Wayne farmed near Bentley, Iowa for 46 years, retiring in 1992 and was also a sales counselor for Walnut Hill Cemeteries for many years. He was a former member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church, Hancock; former 4-H leader, Sunday School Teacher and former Bentley, Iowa School Board Member. Wayne was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church and the Farm Bureau. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Jamie Leaders; sister, Eileen Applegate; brothers, Gerald, Vernon, and Lloyd Leaders.
